Inclusive Education at Deakin University

Inclusive educators know that there is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach to teaching and supporting learning. We understand who our learners are, what they bring to the learning experience, and what teaching approaches will support them to achieve. As a result, we constantly question and reflect on our practice to ensure that it is appropriate for all.
Being inclusive in our approaches means that more of our learners will feel engaged and valued. They will feel safer and more confident to voice and present their ideas, thoughts and questions leading to improved learner experience and success.
Getting involved
The Deakin Teaching and Learning Academy hosts an Inclusive Education Community for Deakin educators. This community provides opportunities for sharing and growing our knowledge around Inclusive Education through capability building activities and community events.
