In this presentation Dr Guy Curtis will highlight and unpack intriguing and contentious questions surrounding the roles of observation and theory in academic integrity research.

Some research into academic integrity, even highly-influential research, can reasonably be described as descriptive and predominantly atheoretical. Researchers have asked interesting and useful questions such as:
