HE Fellowship

The DeakinHE Fellowship program for 2022 has been announced, with the first round commencing in March. The DeakinHE Fellowship program is an accredited professional recognition and development program that supports Deakin academic and professional staff engaged in teaching and learning.  

This is an opportunity to gain recognition for Higher Education Academy (HEA) Fellowship, which is internationally recognised with more than 160,000 fellows worldwide. To be eligible you must be a Deakin staff member and have been teaching, or supporting teaching and learning, in higher education for a minimum of two years. Program participation costs are covered by the University. 

The fellowship requires attendance at two writing workshops and the development of a reflective narrative about your teaching or teaching support experience. There will be two rounds of the program in 2022 in three different categories.

Associate Fellowship HEA  March-April  July-August 
Fellowship HEA  March-June   July-October 
Senior Fellowship HEA  March-July   July-November 

Attend an information sessions
Round 1 information sessions for all categories will be held on Tuesday 22 February 2022. Read through the DeakinHE Fellowship program information to find out more about what’s involved, then register to attend the information session. Come along to hear about the process, benefits and timeline for 2022 and which category will best suit you. You’re welcome to register even if you can’t attend this session but would like to receive the recording and slides.
