In these challenging times, where we are all navigating daily uncertainty and change, supporting ourselves, our students and our colleagues becomes an important priority. You may find the following sites helpful for yourself or to share with students and colleagues.

Beyond Blue has a range of advice on Looking after your mental health during the coronavirus outbreak that includes strategies for managing depression and anxiety.

RUOK has some advice on staying connected and the importance of checking-in on one another during this time.

University of Berkley’s Greater Good Science Center has an excellent Guide to Well-Being During Coronavirus which they update with new resources regularly. It includes practices, resources, and articles for individuals, parents, and educators facing COVID-19.

Deakin Student Life blog is posting regular updates for students. Details of Deakin support services are available in this blog post.

Professional Resilience: Building Skills to Thrive at Work  is a two week open course on FutureLearn designed to explore ways of building personal and professional resilience. It has been updated to include how we build resilience while our routines are disrupted because of COVID-19. Anyone can do the two week course for free and will have access to the material for four weeks. Deakin students and staff can get a free upgrade with permanent access by enrolling through this link.
