H5P makes it easy to create, share and reuse HTML5 content and applications. H5P empowers everyone to create rich and interactive web experiences more efficiently.
Integration

H5P is integrated with CloudDeakin. This tool is released to all units.

Getting started with H5P

You can access H5P via the Insert Stuff Insert Stuff button in the HTML Editor.

To ensure that the H5P content is responsive and mobile friendly, please include the js file in your HTML file.

  1. On your HTML Editor, click on HTML Source Editor HTML tag.
  2. Before the </body>, copy and paste the following line.
    <script src=”https://d2l.deakin.edu.au/content/deakinscripts/h5pResponsive.js” type=”text/javascript”></script>
Creating a Folder
Under My Content, you can create folders including sub-folders. By default, the folder is private.

If you’re creating objects for different units, it is highly recommend that you create folders to organise your objects.

To create folder:

  1. Click on New Folder button.
  2. Give the folder a name.
  3. Then, click on Create.
Existing H5P Content
If you have existing H5P content and wish to reuse the content, follow the steps on “Upload Existing H5P Content” on https://h5p.org/documentation/for-authors/the-basics
Adding Collaborators
To collaborate with other users:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the object.
  2. Click on Collaborators tab.
  3. At the search field, start typing and the results will filter according.
  4. Click on the name of user you wish to add as collaborators.
  5. Don’t forge to click on Save.

Note: If a user have not login to H5P previously, you’ll not be able to add the user as collaborators.

Sharing H5P Objects
To share the objects that you’ve created to the wider Deakin communities:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the object.
  2. Click on Sharing tab.
  3. Click on Pick folder(s) to share in.
  4. You can click on the + sign to expand on the folder.
  5. Tick the box next to the folder where you wish to share.
  6. Click on Save to save your changes.
