Getting Started

All unit teaching teams have been asked to move their T1 assessments online. Further information and a decision helper guide has been prepared by Deakin’s Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning (CRADLE) to assist unit chairs transitioning from exams to other forms of assessments.

If units currently hold end of trimester exams, unit chairs have been asked to decide if this exam can be redesigned as an alternative assessment.

In exceptional circumstances some invigilated (supervised online) online exams will be considered. Essential exams primarily take place in final years and assure that the student has met specific critical course learning outcomes. If you think your exam is absolutely critical for this purpose whereby the student will not be able to practice as a professional without doing a version of this exam before graduation, then we suggest you contact your ADTL to make a case for an invigilated online examination. This is for exceptional circumstances only.

A small number of invigilated exams will be made available through our online exams pilot team. For more details see this guide here.
